How we started

The Phillips Family Foundation began with something very personal: my mother being diagnosed with Stage 3B kidney disease.

When our family first received the diagnosis, we quickly realized how much there was to learn about kidney disease and how overwhelming it can be for both the person diagnosed and the people who love them.

As we navigated this journey as a family, I found myself asking a simple question:

What can I do to help?

I couldn't change the diagnosis, but I could do something. I could learn. I could raise awareness. I could help educate others. And I could work to make sure other families didn't feel like they had to navigate kidney disease alone.

That realization became the foundation for the Phillips Family Foundation.

Turning a Family Experience Into Action

What started as a personal experience has grown into a mission to help others affected by kidney disease.

Our foundation is dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, supporting individuals and families, and bringing communities together in the fight against kidney disease.

We believe that knowledge matters. Early awareness matters. Support matters. And sometimes, simply knowing that someone is there to help can make a tremendous difference.

Our mission is to fight kidney disease through awareness, education, community support, and meaningful action.

We want to help people understand kidney disease, recognize the importance of kidney health, and connect those affected with information and resources that can help them along the way.

We also want to create opportunities for families and communities to come together to support this cause.

The Phillips Family Foundation is a family-run organization built from a family's own experience with kidney disease.

While our story began with my mother's diagnosis, our mission is much bigger than our family.

We want to turn our experience into something positive by helping other individuals and families who are facing their own kidney disease journey.

We may not be able to change every diagnosis, but we can change how we respond to it.
